Perfection is a process and a state of mind. Aiming at perfection is good but you should allow the job with 80 per cent of perfection or achievement and keep improving on it. Else, it could take a lot of time before your efforts show results and before you get feedback on them.
Aiming at being a perfectionist is good. It is one of the best ways of ensuring that you excel yourself every day. However, something that is perfect for you could be slightly less so for someone else. When it comes to multiple people and philosophies, the difference could be still bigger. The main issue here is that striving for perfection could lead to a delay in many initiatives and yet fail to give the desired result. The point above applies mostly to the product/service of a company , something which requires and generally gets, the maximum attention and resource dedication from it. Perfection in product is generally understood as what the internal team feels about it, but the product needs to be perfect for the customer more than for anybody else. At the same time, no product can be made which is perfect for all the customers who are targeted and who are using it.
